XShot's camera extender is a simple device that allows you to take pictures and video of yourself. This invention is one of those "why didn't I think of that?" ideas. The XShot extends to 37" inches and is only 9" inches when fully closed so it is portable. Simply attach your camera or video camera to the camera mount, set the timer on your camera, and look pretty as you no longer have to ask someone else to take pictures of you.

There are a few things I like about the XShot that make it one of those great inventions. For one, the hassle of asking someone to take pictures of you when you go somewhere is eliminated. I know when I was at Times Square in front of the Christmas Tree I asked someone to take a picture of me, and once I had looked at my camera after they walked away, the picture came out terrible. With the XShot, you can take as many pictures of yourself until you get the perfect one. Second, the XShot eliminates the use of a tripod, so when going on trips you can pack this small little device instead of a tripod.
