There are millions and millions of iPod users in the world, and there are hundreds of different cases available for each and every iPod on the market. There are bulky ones, thin ones, ugly ones, and some cases that are just plain weird

Along comes the stylish cases from Shades. These polyurethane soft plastic cases seal the iPod and keep it safe. Keeping in mind that iPod protection is very important to the user, as well as the the sleek attractiveness of their iPod, this company has derived a way to encompass both protection and style into their cases. The CEO of the company states that the iPod Cases were "designed to be thin, light, and protective, still leaving the iPod fully accessible and stylish."

Shades was nice enough to send me some cases to test out on my iPod Nano 1G (I know it is time for an upgrade) and I must say I am pretty impressed. At first sight I was skeptical about using this case because I thought it was going to prevent me from using the touch wheel so then the iPod would basically be unusable when it is in the case. I was wrong.

After opening up the package and inspecting the case, I found that it somewhat simple to put on and take off. The case is made of strong material, so wrestling it to get it on did no harm. There is an opening at the bottom of the case where you simply just slide (with a little effort) your product in. Once secured, I found that the touch wheel was just as easy to use with the shade on, than when it was off. Since I have my iPod hooked up in my car, I usually just toss it directly into my cup holder, which clearly scratches it. Using this shade, I no longer have to worry about scratches and any harm to my iPod. Another thing I love about this case is that its thin and sleek, making it hardly noticeable that there is something protecting my iPod. I am currently using the orange case to protect my Nano which can be seen above.
