Sniffle Buddies, LLC is an entrepreneurial business started by the Mom of an allergy-prone toddler. After recovering from 5 days in Pediatric ICU for croup related breathing issues, J Kelly Mayes couldn't bare to watch her highly allergic son repeatedly touching his germy hand to his face while playing in public areas as he tended his itchy, irritated nose. The constant tissue chase and antibacterial applications took all the fun out of "playtime" for him. He was less than 2 years old, still in diapers, and hovered over constantly for sniffle tending. The tissue was becoming the enemy and he couldn't "just play". Kelly's first answer was adding a cut up tube sock to his arm and asking him to "rub there". It worked! His germy hands stayed away from his face and his sniffles and itches were all tended in one spot! When playtime was over the sock came off, his sleeves were clean, the tissue box happily awaited proper use, and hopefully he spread fewer germs to other by targeting his wipes away from his hands. From that simple idea, Sniffle Buddies was born.
