Kathie Kennedy Ragains is the owner of Paths of Silver and in 2004 her husband treated her to an excursion to Taxco, Mexico, to see the silver center of Mexico. They did not find extreme poverty there; they found hardworking, family oriented silversmiths and a town that had kept much of the true culture of Mexico. That's how Paths of Silver began. They loved the fine handcrafted silver jewelry (joyeria) that the silversmiths in Taxco created and the amazing creativity of their work. Their jewelry and artwork is of the finest silver (minimum .925 sterling). When Kathie and Phil returned to Michigan, they decided to find a way to share the beauty of the Taxco silversmiths and find a way to help people in need.
