There is a great entrepreneurial story behind Dot Dot Couture that I myself as an entrepreneur, admire. The owner, Amy Shoaff, is a mom of three who got the idea for these Play Pants when she saw her little twin girls learning to crawl. In short, they slithered like snakes across the hardwood floor or, lacking traction, went sort of backwards, and she had to keep picking them up and placing them on the rug. When she searched online and in stores for a solution, she found pillows or leg warmers, which she clearly didn’t need.

Amy took the non skid dot concept found on the bottom of pajamas, arranged them in kid-friendly designs like frogs, cupcakes, and spiders, and developed Dot Dot Couture Play Pants. She took her newborn with her in a sling to factories to hire a manufacturer, she fed her kids in the car while trying to hire a sales team and she practiced colors with her kids while merchandising her line. In six months shes successfully launched a clothing line in between naps and pre-school commuting! Today, the kids are playing with tape and boxes while Amy is shipping orders.
