Growing and developing are life-long activities. Children have a basic need to see, healthy, motivated, responsible and creative adults living in a environment which supports village development and defends the human dignity of each person. It is important to acknowledge that each person has creative potential which should be nourished and helped to grow so life becomes a case of possibilities and change and not solely surviving.

Multiply the H.A.R.V.E.S.T. will focus on income-producing initiatives for local entrepreneurs in healthcare and agriculture.

1. Decrease in morbidity and mortality from malaria A cooperative of local seamstresses will sew bed canopies to be sold through a local health clinic at greatly reduced prices; a reputable supplier will supply the raw mosquito netting.

2. Provide access to inexpensive family planning resources to literate and non-literate couples A cooperative will assemble color-coded family planning beads to be sold through a local health clinic; colored plastic beads and heavy twine will be supplied locally.

3. Improve health and nutrition status of villagers by producing fresh locally-grown produce year-round Local farmers will use drip irrigation to raise crops year-round to sell to the local community; drip irrigation tubing will be supplied locally.
