The book contains ten childhood-to-innovation stories of how lessons from Latino culture inspired new green businesses and inventions. You’ll read incredibly inspiring stories of 4 Latinas and 6 Latinos, innovating across ten different industries to damage our planet less. Readers will want to emulate these highly educated, courageous Latino leaders as they create sustainable, industrial and social justice solutions to benefit all Americans.

The author is Californian Graciela Tiscareño-Sato, a bilingual social entrepreneur and professional speaker. Graciela is the oldest of five children born to Mexican immigrants from the 1960s. After overcoming intense cultural and financial obstacles, she broke away from her small town in Colorado and headed for Berkeley. She graduated from the prestigious University of California in Berkeley’s School of Environmental Design, with a degree in Architecture and was commissioned into the United States Air Force. As an instructor navigator on board aerial refueling jets, she spent nine years flying to and living on four continents, really coming to appreciate the precious smallness of our planet Earth. She earned her graduate degree in international management during that time.

After her corporate career in global marketing and green information technology, she became a social entrepreneur. Today she serves as Chief Creative Officer of her own firm, Gracefully Global Group, creating compelling content that motivates an audience to act! As a speaker, she brings the stories of Latinnovating to universities, community colleges and middle to high schools around the nation, donating generous portions of her revenue with non-profit groups aligned with her mission. With this book she’s out to showcase positive images of Latinos to all America, while also issuing a call to action for Americans to mentor young Latinos and Latinas. For Latino youth, she’s providing the long-term view of higher education with these success stories.
