About Esther Pearlman

Esther Pearlman feels the need to express herself in the arts. Being an artist allows her to communicate her thoughts and feelings. She likes the feel of the paint and she uses a variety of materials to create her work, including: brushes, found objects, paper and even her feet. Recently, with the war in Iraq, she was upset and furious and lost her temper, not being able to share her feelings. She used the paint on her shoes and walked all over the paintings she was creating. Little did she know that she would enjoy the process and even be surprised and thrilled with the outcome of the work. Esther loves color and she responds to color. For her, color can be peaceful as well as exciting. Artists such as Van Gogh, Gauguin, Picasso, Pollack, Hockney and Wadl inspire her.
