About Journey Bar

When the Journey Bar was started in 2010, they founders set out to create an entirely new kind of bar, a TRAVEL BAR. When Chris, one of the founders of Journey Bar was out backpacking or rushing through an airport, often the most convenient way of grabbing a bite to eat was to pick up a nutrition bar of some sort. But when he was really hungry, he wanted a healthy bar that tasted more like real food, and less like a candy bar. He didn’t want sweet, he wanted SAVORY! The TRAVEL BAR was going to be the solution. As avid travelers they found there were just too many interesting flavors in the world for them to limit themselves to the ordinary. They realized that some of the local flavors they discovered on their treks around the world would be perfect for their bars. From there, they got their hands dirty in the kitchen trying to recreate some of these memorable meals using only wholesome, natural ingredients – the sorts of things you could find at your local grocery store. And after many hours in the kitchen and countless recipes, the first travel bar was born, the JOURNEY BAR!
